Ankur Singla, CEO. Ankur has over 14 years of experience in building world-class networking products and leading high performance teams. Prior to Contrail, Ankur served as Chief Technology Officer and VP of Engineering at Aruba Networks, where he played critical roles in the rapid expansion of team, products, and global businesses. Before Aruba, Ankur helped drive Juniper’s initial entry into and expansion of the Ethernet Switching market. Ankur received his MSEE from Stanford University & BSEE from the University of Southern California.
Kireeti Kompella, CTO. Prior to Contrail, Kireeti was formerly CTO and Chief Architect, JunOS at Juniper Networks. Dr. Kompella has deep experience in Packet Transport, large-scale MPLS, VPNs, VPLS, and Layer 1-3 networking. He has been very active in the IETF, co-chairing the CCAMP Working Group and authoring several Internet Drafts and RFCs (including CCAMP, IS-IS, L2VPN, MPLS, NVO3, OSPF, and TE). Prior to Juniper, Kireeti worked on file systems at NetApp, SGI, and ACSC (acquired by Veritas). Dr. Kompella received his BS EE and MS CS at IIT, Kanpur, and his PhD in Computer Science at USC.

Pedro Marques, Architect. Prior to Contrail, Pedro was developing control applications for the Cluster Management Team at Google. Before joining Google, Pedro was a Distinguished Engineer at Cisco and Juniper, where he architected many generations of Routing and Switching Platforms. In addition, Pedro is very active in global industry forums, where he has authored multiple RFCs and steered numerous standardization efforts.
Harshad Nakil, Architect. Prior to Contrail, Harshad was an Aruba Fellow and architected Aruba’s next generation operating system for converged wired and wireless networks. Before joining Aruba, Harshad was Distinguished Engineer at Juniper Networks, where he architected their initial Switching Product Line. Harshad also previously led the Architecture team for Cisco Integrated Services Router.
Jennifer Lin, VP, Marketing. Prior to Contrail, Jennifer was Senior Director of Product Marketing at Cisco, where she led the Product Management and Technical Marketing teams for Cisco’s Connected Energy Networks, Wireless Networking, and Enterprise Routing BUs. She has led numerous partner ecosystems to drive interoperability across grid, sensor networking and wireless/mobility services. Jennifer holds BSE from Princeton University and MSE from Stanford University.
Ashish Ranjan, VP Engineering. Prior to Contrail, Ashish led the development team for Aruba Networks’ next generation OS. Before joining Aruba, Ashish was Director of Engineering at Juniper, where he was responsible for JUNOS Enterprise Switching software stack. In addition, Ashish was one of the early engineers in the Extreme networking software team. He holds BS and MS degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay.
Ajay Hampapur, Software Engineer. Prior to Contrail, Ajay was a Distinguished Engineer at Aruba Networks, where he led the architecture team working on high availability for the next-gen OS. Before joining Aruba, Ajay was at Juniper and Cisco, where he developed software and ASICs for multiple Routing and Switching Product lines.
Parantap Lahiri, VP Solutions Engineering. Prior to Contrail, Parantap was Senior Director of Network Architecture team for Microsoft Online Services, where he owned the network architecture and platform standards for Microsoft’s online services (Windows Azure, MS Bing, Office 365, Hotmail, Messenger etc.) as well as Microsoft’s global backbone. Before Microsoft, Parantap worked for UUNet Technologies as the Engineering Manager for Core Backbone. Parantap holds a Bachelors degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering.
